Music and Movement

Each day at 10:00 we have a time for music. This help children learn rhythm and tempo as well as practice following directions. It is a fun way for the children to show us what they know.

Our Mission

The East Wake Education Foundation is a non-profit education program serving Eastern Wake County. In addition to advocating for our area schools, the Foundation has an early childhood initiative called Family and Child Enrichment Services. The mission of the Foundation is that “…every child shall have the opportunity to arrive at school age healthy and ready to learn.”

The EWEF receives its support from the Wake County Commissioners, the towns of Zebulon, Wendell and Knightdale and over 50 businesses that share our vision. The Foundation was started in 1993. The office is located at 16 E. Fourth Street in Wendell, N. C., is open Monday through Thursday with family activities that involve not only the children, but also the parents.

Staff is trained in early childhood development and all services are free to all families.
