Co-housed with East Wake Education Foundation are two Parent educators from Project Enlightenment. Realizing that parenting is not always easy, Parents as Teachers is a free program that offers information and support services.
PAT offers to families:
- A Support System - providing information on child development from ages birth to Kindergarten
- Personal Visits — home visits by a certified parent educator offering tips on ways to encourage learning, manage challenging behavior, and promote strong parent-child relationships
- Parent Meetings — an opportunity for parents to get together to gain new insights, and to share their experiences and challenges in parenting
